Topic Description

“As human beings the way we form our understandings of self, others, the world around us and our experiences is closely tied to the language and words we use to describe these them. Whether we use words to talk to ourselves about “”how stupid I am!”” or “”how irritating that colleague is!”” or “”how exhausting my child is!”” – these words not only impact on how we think about and feel towards ourselves and those we engage with, they accumulate to have a strong impact on our mental state and wellbeing in general.

In this session we look at the impact of kind (and unkind) words in particular and unpack the ways in which these may be key opportunities to change the way we speak for good “
