Mental Load refers to the cognitive burden or psychological weight that comes from holding in mind, managing, and organizing various aspects of our lives and relationships. It includes work, household chores, family responsibilities, personal obligations and more. This concept that is increasingly relevant in our fast-paced, modern world where we are bombarded with more and more information, quicker turnaround times on tasks, and social expectations for “excellence”. The goal of this talk is to help you understand what Mental Load is, why it matters, how it impacts on your mental health and how to manage it effectively (including learning when to let go of some loads!) to improve your overall wellbeing.
