Topic Description

Gender equity is a critical issue facing societies worldwide. Despite progress in recent years, women and non-binary individuals continue to face systemic barriers and discrimination in many areas, including education, employment, politics, and healthcare. Achieving gender equity requires a comprehensive approach that addresses the root causes of gender inequality and promotes inclusivity and equal opportunities for all. In this talk, we will examine the current state of gender equity and explore strategies for breaking down the barriers that prevent women and non-binary individuals from reaching their full potential. This talk is there to begin the discussions around Gender Equity and an opportunity for us to reflect on our own ability to contribute to gender equality.
